Applications of Organoids
1 & 2) PSCs can be reprogrammed from patient’s somatic cells and differentiated into brain organoids
3) Organoids can recapitulate human fetal cortical development and can be used to model diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and Glioblastoma multiform (GBM)
4) Organoids could be used in regenerative medicine (Not FDA Approved!)
5 & 6) Organoids could also be used in high throughput screening (HTS) to discovery novel drugs and to develop effective pharmacotherapies
